My First Fondant covered birthday cake

Fondant!

I felt such a need to get my first post up so I searched through my photos and found this cake. I made it a few years ago for my son’s girlfriend Courtney. She is very special to me and I wanted to give her something unexpected. A little Coach purse, I even made a small lipstick to go on the outside. It was my first fondant covered cake and so much fun to make. I really like the zipper!

 

It will be a while before I post again because I need to buy a camera! Mine went missing on a weekend away last year. I have been borrowing my son Kevin's camera but found that food close ups have been a disaster. So until I have a decent camera I’m sorry to say that the posts will be far and few between.
